Lord, I thank You for the blessings of good health that I and those dear to me have enjoyed. May we continue to experience health in every aspect of our lives. Restore physical health in those of us weakened with illness, peace to those troubled with worry, and comfort to those discouraged with problems.
Help us find in the days of our strength a faith and trust in You and a love for one another to guide us through any health challenge we may face now or in the future. Amen.

Prayer During Illness
O God and Father, I offer You my illness and suffering in union with the sufferings of Your Son, Jesus Christ. You willed that He should suffer for the salvation of the world. May I now strengthen my resolve to do God’s will and be an example to others who suffer.
If it is in Your plan, may I be restored to health so I can continue to serve You in holiness and wholeness. If not, give me the understanding to accept the cross, the humility to accept the help of others, and the grace to see Your purpose in all the events of my life. Amen.

Lessons Taught Well by My Mother
What does it mean to make a claim that you would do anything for your son or daughter? We often make these type of statements in an effort to placate or assure someone of our love.
However, when someone's actions speak loud and clear with a purpose, the result is astounding. It can bring friends, family and even a community together.
My mother is one of those unique individuals with the ability to make a friend within a strange crowd, bring a smile to your face, make you feel well with a gentle hug and kiss, pick you up when you feel down, honest enough to make it work, objective enough to give prudent advice, committed to her spiritual growth, passionate enough to fight for a cause, and her most glorious ability to LOVE UNCONDITIONALLY.

Thanks Again . . .
Part of the recovery process includes having family and friends that unconditionally provide support. I want to thank each and every one of you that provided your time, prayers, and support. This didactic experience has given me the strength and fidelity in God to know that I will persevere.

Thanks and Appreciation
It is not often when we experience something so profound that it leaves us with nothing to say, but “I am blessed” to have these people in my life.
I find myself in a situation that requires faith, hope, and love each and every day. Recently, I was hospitalized and could not have asked for better treatment from the facility and its practitioners. The level of attention and care I received at this facility was tremendously comforting, not only to my condition, but to my soul. You should be comforted to know that this quality of care was provided at the Culberson County Hospital in Van Horn, Texas.
Specifically, I want to give a special thanks to Dr. Jackson and Debra Mendoza. These individuals went above and beyond in my treatment and were very reassuring. The town of Van Horn is fortunate to have these individuals at the helm.
Additionally, I want to express my gratitude and appreciation to those individuals who have taken time out of their lives to provide me and my family with their kind thoughts, prayers, and gifts.
Lastly, I want to thank my parents and brothers who have been with me every step of the way.
Thanks,
Lucky Mendez
